The customised programme has been designed for accelerated training and assessment to suit those who have been working in a project oriented workplace and have experiences contributing to the management of projects for a period of at least 12 months
This qualification is suitable for autonomous individuals who identify and apply project management skills and knowledge in a wide variety of contexts. Job titles for these roles may include contracts officers, project officers, project co-ordinators, project administrators, quality officers and small business operators.
Individuals in these roles might be members of a project team, with no direct responsibility for overall project outcomes. Primarily, these roles would support wider project operations. They may use project tools and methodologies selectively to support organisational or business activities.

This program is at Level 4 on the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and, hence, is a nationally recognised vocational qualification.
The Business Services Package (BSB) lists a number of Certificate IV qualifications. Some of these other qualifications share units with the BSB40920 – Certificate IV in Project Management Practice. Thus, it would be possible to gain credit from BSB41515 towards another of these awards.
After achieving the BSB40920, candidates may undertake the BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management, or a range of other Diploma qualifications related to their work.
