This nationally accredited program covers 9 units of competency in designing, delivering, and evaluating learning experiences that deliver amazing results. Specifically designed to meet the needs of learning and development professionals, contract educators and professional facilitators, this program encourages you to work on your own projects whilst meeting the high standards of the Institute for Learning and Performance (ILP).

An annual professional membership to ILP valued at $327, is also included when you enrol in the program.

The 11370NAT Certificate IV in Learning Design and Facilitation is distinct from the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment in that it is not focused on compliance-driven assessment practice or RTO regulatory requirements; instead, it concentrates on the design, facilitation and evaluation of effective learning experiences across workplace, corporate and community contexts.

While the TAE40122 is essential for those assessing nationally recognised training, the 11370NAT is purpose-built for professionals who design and deliver learning without needing assessor authority, with a strong emphasis on learner engagement, facilitation skills, stakeholder consultation, blended and digital learning design, and continuous improvement. It’s for learning and development practitioners, corporate trainers, subject matter experts, facilitators, team leaders, HR and OD professionals, consultants, and educators working in non-RTO environments who want a nationally recognised qualification that aligns with modern, evidence-based learning practice.

What Can I Expect On This Course?

An accredited course designed for professional trainers in the corporate and non-accredited training environment

There are no pre-requisite educational requirements to enrol.

Entrants to the 11370NAT Certificate IV in Learning Design and Facilitation must demonstrate high-level language, literacy and numeracy, and computer skills; sufficient to interpret and prepare written reports, interpret and communicate learning and performance needs, and to design learning campaigns and experiences.

To achieve the qualification, you must complete a total of nine units of competency – six core units and three elective units from the selection below.
