The course provides opportunities to practice and develop training and assessing skills during the workshop. Mentoring skills are developed on day two and will be applied in a workplace after the workshop.
Additional training and assessment evidence will also be collected from the workplace.
Delivery Methods
Post Course Assessment Support
Assessment support directly from your assessor via telephone and email. The following processes will be applied for students considered to be “at risk”:
Learning activities
Presentation of information, interactive discussion, case studies, role plays, group work and reflective practice. Participants are provided with learner’s resources including readings, case studies, assessment tasks and practical projects.
Assessment methods
After the workshop, you’ll be required to complete two further training sessions, two further assessments of others, and a mentoring portfolio (including documentation relating to the intial meeting, 3 x follow up meetings, and a feedback interview with your mentee)
This skill set provides graduates with opportunities for advancement within their workplace. Specifically in the areas of staff development and training.
Completion of this skills set may also provide the graduate with elective units that may be applied towards further study in the field of vocational training and assessment.
