About Lesson
A facilitator in the VET system is required to comply with national VET regulations which state that participants should receive training, assessment and support services that meet their individual needs by integrating core skills support with VET practices. This requirement means that training must be fair, accessible and equitable to all participants. Therefore, it is of paramount importance that a person’s core skill abilities are determined prior to the delivery of the program. If these levels are found to be below the course requirements, then adjustments may have to be made in order to accommodate them.
The core skills frameworks in the VET system are addressed in:
- the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF)
- the Core Skills for Work Developmental Framework
