About Lesson

Capability frameworks such as the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) Standards, ILP’s Learning & Development capability framework, and the VET Practitioner Capability Framework (VETPCF) are important resources for Vocational Education and Training professionals.

AITSL Standards offer comprehensive guidelines categorised into ‘Professional Knowledge,’ ‘Professional Practice,’ and ‘Professional Engagement,’ serving as a baseline for essential skills.

VETPCF, designed specifically for VET educators, outlines capabilities in four domains like ‘Facilitate Learning’ and ‘Assess Competence.’

Learning & development capability framework (ILP)  is relevant and applicable to all learning and development professionals accountable for the design and/or delivery and implementation of learning initiatives for their clients or organisations. It covers the behaviours that L&D professionals require for long-term success within their profession and industry.

These frameworks are instrumental for both current and future skill development. They allow for a skills gap analysis and provide a roadmap for career progression, helping educators stay aligned with industry changes and emerging trends. Overall, these frameworks offer a structured approach to professional development, ensuring educators are well-equipped to meet evolving educational needs.
