BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management
Overview
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge. They may manage projects in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors.
They have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.
The Diploma of Project Management (Upgrade) course has a minimum of 48 face to face training hours with a trainer and assessor over a period ranging from 1 – 8 weeks (depending on the scheduling options chosen by the client) and a period of 16 weeks for any additional evidence needed for the assessment. This is considered consistent with AQF specifications for a AQF level 5 qualification taking into account the pre-existing work experience of the client.
This accelerated training and assessment (integrated) program is designed for experienced staff who have been working in a project oriented workplace and have been responsible for the management of projects for a period of not less than 24 months.
