Terry Hill
Co-founder and Director
Published author, a service career in the RAAF for 20 years and has tertiary qualifications in the education and management fields. Terry is not only a successful business owner, but also has vast experience in management, training, and RTO administration. Terry enjoys time with family and keeping in touch with friends around the world.

Dan Hill
Co-founder and Director
Dan has published several books in vocational education and served in the RAAF. Dan’s experience includes retail buying roles, wholesale sales management, general management and national sales roles. Dan develops much of the online learning content and operates the Spectraining YouTube channel and VET Podcast. Dan also enjoys painting, singing and playing guitar.

Sharon Hartley
Business Manager
With a distinguished career in organisations across Europe and Australia, including the Australian Institute of Management, Sharon has built a reputation of service that goes above and beyond – both for her customers and her co-workers. You may see Sharon walking her beloved dogs around the leafy suburb of Greenslopes in Brisbane.

Jennifer Bailey
Administration Manager
Jennifer is a highly regarded vocational education specialist with over two decades of service within the sector. Jennifer (don’t call me ‘Jen’) processes your enrolments and is first to reach out, whenever needed, to make sure your time with Spectraining is seamless. Jennifer is into dog sports – with her Airedales – and has an Australian Champion in the mix!

Nicole Aleckson
Senior Trainer/Assessor (TAE)
Nicole is a highly qualified and experienced educator with 20+ years in vocational education. Nicole is patient, attentive and, most importantly, focused on your learning experience. Nicole walks the talk, has a heart of gold and a head that’s just full of everything to do with training and assessment in Australia. Nicole grew up and went to school in PNG, returning to Australia in 1980.

Dani McDonnell
Customer experience manager
If you’re unsure of anything, Dani is here to help. Dani connects your questions with the right answers to make sure you know where, when, who and how to attend and complete your training experience with Spectraining. Dani has over 15 years in HR and recruitment and is a qualified trainer and brain-based career coach. And don’t mess with her, she also has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do!

Doug Ivins
Senior Trainer/Assessor (TAE)
Doug has seen it all. Doug brings a world of experience and patience to his training – serving as a mentor for Diploma students and a Leadsrship and Management specialist.. He loves the ‘light bulb’ moment when students fully understand something new. Doug is a dedicated family man and a great listener. Fun Fact: Doug has climbed the world’s largest Monolith (and no it’s not Uluru)!

Kym Paget
Compliance Manager
Kym has over 14 years experience in the world of RTO Compliance and Administration from enrolments and issuing of certificates to Government Funding and Reporting. Compliance is all about the finer details and she takes pride in making sure all the ‘t’s are crossed and ‘I’s are dotted. Kym also has a creative side and loves cooking (especially desserts). Her family mean the world to her and she loves spending time with her grandchildren.

Raj Paul
eLearning specialist
Raj is a calm, cool and incredibly knowledgeable educator in the fields of business and education. Raj is a nationally accredited trainer and certified learning facilitator with over 17 years of rich corporate experience in the fields of business, project management and education. Raj’s coaching philosophy is to create an engaging & positive learning environment. He is a junior cricket coach for the local club and loves cooking.

Melissa Georgiou
Business and TAE Facilitator
Mel is a qualified accountant with an MBA and years of experience training others in the nuances of business operations. With over 20 years experience in training, Mel brings her A-game to every situation to ensure participants receive the best information in a manner that suits their needs. As a proud Gold Coaster, Mel shares her life with her wonderful husband and daughter in Queensland’s south east.

Marc Miles
Trainer and Assessor
Marc is a passionate trainer who loves to see people become the best facilitators and trainers that they can be. He’s trained the TAE since 2013 and has a strong background in management, corporate training and learning and development. He has been a coach to many up and coming trainers and loves simplifying the complex to turn ‘Academic Skills’ into ‘Street-wise Knowledge’. He lives on the Gold Coast and spent 7 years in Japan. On weekends he loves riding his scooter and doing martial arts.

Taylah Carr
Administration Assistant
Taylah has great experience in the VET sector having worked in admin roles for two RTOs in the last few years. Taylah is a focused, task-driven person with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn from every experience. Taylah calls the Gold Coast home with her family, friends and partner.

Deb Sytema
Assessor
Deb has over 16 years training, assessing & designing both the Cert IV in Training and Assessment and Diplomas. Deb has a background in Human Services, Health and Health education including the design and delivery of training in these sectors. A passionate gardener who loves spending time in her native garden.
