This skill set is specifically designed for teachers who are facilitating VET programs in schools. As such, the prerequisistes include a current teaching qualification and resumé indicating involvement with a VETIS (VET in Schools) program OR pending employement in this area.

  • TAEASS413 Participate in assessment validation
  • TAEDES411 Use nationally recognised training products to meet vocational training needs
  • TAEDES412 Design and develop plans for vocational training
  • TAEPDD401 Work effectively in the VET sector

The course provides opportunities to practice and develop your planning, development, assessment and VET environment skills & knowledge during the workshop or online program.

Additional training and assessment evidence may also be collected from the workplace where or if applicable.

 

Delivery Methods

  1. Online, self-paced study. This will involve a number of tasks undertaken in a real school envinoement in order to meet the assessment criteria. 
  2. Blended progam. This will include virtual workshops offset by in-class activities and workplace evidence gathering scenarios.

Post Course Assessment Support

Assessment support directly from your assessor via telephone and email.

The following processes will be applied for students considered to be “at risk”:

  • Development of an individualised Study Management Plan
  • One-on-one tutorials

Learning activities

Presentation of information, interactive discussions, case studies, role plays & simulations, group work and reflective practice.

Participants are provided with learner’s resources including readings, case studies, assessment tasks and practical projects.

  • Third Party Workplace Report (where applicable)
  • Observations (may be resulted via a third party report or other evidence)
  • Portfolio of Evidence

 

This skill set provides graduates with opportunities for advancement within their workplace. Specifically in the areas of delivering VET accredited programs. Work opportunities in private and public RTOs can result from attaining this qualification. 

Completion of this skills set may also provide the graduate with elective units that may be applied towards further study in the field of vocational training and assessment.
