TAESS00031 Design and Deliver E-Learning skill set


Gain the skills to establish, facilitate, monitor and review e-learning delivered via electronic media. This skill set is designed to enhance the capabilities of vocational education and training (VET) professionals. It focuses on the skills and knowledge required to design and deliver e-learning in online and remote learning environments. As this skill set is aimed at a Diploma-level, you’ll also gain transferable units for a Diploma in vocational education and training. 

This skill set is suitable for individuals who are involved in developing their e-learning skills. As such, it is strongly recommended that you are highly proficient in common digital environments such as Windows or Mac OS, and Office applications. Specific e-learning authoring tools are discussed throughout the program, however proficiency in any authoring tool is not a pre-requisite to commencing this program.

The course provides opportunities to practice and develop your skills at creating e-learning resources and delivering training in virtual and asynchronous contexts. 

Additional training and assessment evidence may also be collected from the workplace where or if applicable.


Delivery Methods

    This course is delivered exclusively online through self-paced study and assessment. You will be given access to our onlinbe learning platform, Moodle, and be provided all content in video and written formats. You will have access to a coach along the way to assist you with any queries or concerns. 

    Post Course Assessment Support

    Assessment support directly from your assessor via telephone and email.

    The following processes will be applied for students considered to be “at risk”:

    • Development of an individualised Study Management Plan
    • One-on-one tutorials

    Learning activities

    Will include: Design and devleopment of resources, reflective activities, simulated and real-world e-learning delivery scenarios, and asynchronous discussion forums.

    Participants are provided with learner’s resources including readings, case studies, assessment tasks and practical projects.

    This skill set provides graduates with opportunities for advancement within their workplace. Specifically in the areas of e-learning development and delivery. Completion of this skill set may also provide the graduate with core and elective units that may be applied towards further study in the field of vocational training and assessment at the Diploma level.
